Basketball is England's second most popular team sport in terms of participation and is popular across many communities. Most of the photos in this gallery are from shooting the Sheffield Sharks for many years (mostly home games but also including the odd away game, trophy final or AllStar games) together with a special evening shooting the Harlem Globetrotters when they came to Sheffield.

One of the unexpected bonuses of the Covid pandemic was that basketball continued as an elite sport in 2020/21 and while there were many rules and restrictions in place to carry on photographing it, it was also a time when without a crowd there were chances to do some different shots with remotes - especially up and through the backboard.
